6.1 Preparation for IBM Security Directory Services
This chapter follows the free download document step-by-step procedure for installation, IBMSecurityDirectoryServices6.4-InstallationonRHEL8.0.docx. This is available for download from the ResearchGate website, using the DOI URL:

This shows the full installation screenshots. The main change in this chapter is for the product codes for download, and the minor base version of IBM Security Directory Services 6.4 (in this case the latest downloads, as of 13th October, 2022, are shown in Figures 6.1 through 6.6). There is a good overview video tutorial on the YouTube link:
Note: There are some differences from this, I have found, that are required for IBM Security Directory Services to run on RHEL 8.0.
6.1.1 Download from IBM PartnerWorld Software Access Catalog or passport advantage
See: https://www.ibm.com/partnerworld/program/benefits/software-access-catalog. Search using the text IBM Security Directory Server then select from the drop-down as shown in Figure 6.1:

- On clicking the opener for the G061HML eAssembly, we can scroll down and select the software packages as highlighted in Figure 6.2:

- The downloaded packages are shown as illustrated in Figure 6.3:

- We also need to search and download the IBM License activation for IBM Security Directory Server v6.4, using the highlighted text in Figure 6.4:

The search results show the product code, CN4VJML, listing the Premium Feature Activation Package for the IBM Security Directory Server v6.4 as illustrated in Figure 6.5:

- We can now select the Activation Package and download the ZIP file, for installation of the Premium License from the sds64-premium-feature-sct-pkg.zip file as shown in Figure 6.6:
