9.1.3.4 Managing server properties to add a new Suffix, o=asbsoftware

Click Server administration in the IBM Security Directory Services Web application in the Administration navigation area and then click Manage server properties in the expanded list as shown in Figure 9.94:

In the Manage server properties, select the Suffixes menu item as shown in Figure 9.95:

Next, click the Suffixes tab. Enter the Suffix DN, we used o=asbsoftware, as shown in Figure 9.96:
Note: The maximum is 1000 characters for a suffix.

Click Add. Repeat this process for as many suffixes as you want to add.
When you are finished, click Apply to save your changes without exiting, or click OK to apply your changes and exit, or click Cancel to exit this panel without making any changes as shown in Figure 9.97:

The organization object class can now be created:
dn: o=asbsoftware
objectclass: organization
This uses the same Add Entry as we used for adding the users and groups earlier, as shown in Figure 9.98:

We then use Next command and the next again to skip the select auxiliary object classes as shown in Figure 9.99:

Click Next and then next again then click Finish to show the result in Figure 9.100:

The additional organization object we have created is now displayed as shown in Figure 9.101:

Click on the Add button and repeat to add users and groups to the asbsoftware organisation as for the initial localhost Domain.
a. Select inetOrgPerson
b. Skip the Select auxiliary object classes using the Next command button.
c. Enter the Required attributes, the Relative DN: as cn=Alan
d. Enter +cn: as cn=Alan and +sn as Alan (Required attributes) and click Next
e. On the Optional attributes, scroll down and fill the userPassword field.
f. Then click Finish to add the user.
g. Select Yes to add further users, or No to exit the wizard.
Click + to see user and group entries as shown in Figure 9.102:

The added user is shown in our new asbsoftware organization as shown in Figure 9.103:

Note: The localhost address works only if you are running the browser on the computer on which the Web Administration Tool is installed. If the Web Administration Tool is installed on a different computer, replace localhost with the hostname (for example ecmukdemo77 as shown above) or the IP address of the computer where the Web Administration Tool is installed.
If it is not possible to deploy the Web Administration Tool into a new profile, users must add the directory server’s certificate to the profile’s trust store. Additionally, for server-client authentication the user must add the WebSphere Application Server profile certificate to the directory server’s trust store.
